I cannot help think
That God is not as concerned
With where we are
As with how far we have come.
And I wonder if God is less interested
In the speed of our journey,
And more concerned
With the direction we are facing.
And perhaps He doesn’t mind
How often we trip,
If only we will allow Him
To help us get back on our feet.
And maybe if we’re travelling fast
In the wrong direction
To the wrong place
A trip is exactly what we need.
